Our abdominal muscles and pelvic floor go through a lot during pregnancy. This flowing yoga class focuses on learning how to turn on and strengthen deep transverse abdominal muscles and engage (or relax) the pelvic floor. We will discuss diastasis recti and will safely work toward knitting back together our outer layer of abdominal muscles if there is a separation. 

Please be warned - this is not an "ab buster" workout class! The work will be deep and appropriate for a postpartum body. You won't find crunches in this class! In addition to transverse abdominal and pelvic floor work, we will flow through sun salutations and cool down with stretches.

Participants must be 6+ weeks postpartum to attend. 

Location: Burlington Surf Club pavilion, 32 Lakeside Ave. Drive to the end of Lakeside Ave, where you will see a sign for the Hula building on the right. Turn into the parking lot and weave  your way all the way through the long parking lot until you get to the Burlington Surf Club at the end of the parking lot.

  • Please bring all props with you. We will not provide props.
